About

Portrait of Lovis Anderson

I'm a mathematician turned product builder. I studied mathematics at TU Berlin, then spent a couple of years at the Zuse Institute researching machine learning for gas network optimization.

From there I went to industry: production planning at Deutsche Bahn, then product owner for supply chain network design software at OPTANO, a Kearney company. That's where I fell for supply chain questions: so much potential sits unanswered, and working on it has real impact.

Today I'm building SCMotif, agentic AI for supply chain decisions. I create videos on supply chain fundamentals and consult on AI and supply chain.

The company I'm building

SCMotif makes supply chain network decisions accessible. Questions like where to place the next warehouse or whether to route shipments via hub or direct usually take a consulting project to answer, so most everyday network decisions are still made on experience and spreadsheet estimates.

SCMotif changes that. An agentic AI interface works through the data and translates the business question into an analysis path, while tested optimization algorithms do the computation. Every analysis stays auditable because the numbers come from the algorithms, not the language model.
